Problem: ELOxc_Base.log is written to the root C:\ directory. Configuration data is saved to HKLU\Software\ELO Digital instead of the normal location.

These problems are normally seen when a number of other ELOxc EWS functions are not working properly as well. They are all symptomatic of the same root cause: ELOxc.exe is not running with sufficient user privileges.

Solution: If you are still configuring ELOxc and are running the service programs manually, make sure that ELOxc.exe runs in an administrative context (Run as an administrator). If the service has been started by a service user, make sure that that user's rights have been set correctly as described in the Requirements section of this manual.
