Remove lock

Available in: Ribbon > Repository

Use this function to remove the lock from a document or folder. As a regular user, you can only remove your own locks. As an administrator, you can also remove locks from documents from other users.

Since the document may be locked for editing by another user, removing a lock may lead to loss of data or changes being overwritten. To unlock a locked document for all users, you should use the Cancel editing function in the Check in dialog box.
