General

Maximum size (in MB) for the preview: Define a maximum size for documents in the viewer pane.

Information: If the document is bigger than the specified size, you will see a corresponding notification and the Save file as button opens. You need to download the document to see it.

Thumbnails in the preview: Enable this option to show a bar with page thumbnails for multi-page documents in the image preview. The page thumbnails give users a better overview of where they currently are within the document. Users can also use the page thumbnails to jump to specific pages.

Select how you want to view the thumbnails or whether you want to disable them in the drop-down menu. Choose from the following options:

  • Show (blank pages): The page thumbnails consist of blank pages and the page number.
  • Show (thumbnails): The page thumbnails consist of thumbnails and the page number.
  • Hide: The ELO Web Client will not show any page thumbnails.

Please note: The Show (thumbnails) option can increase the load on you server since a preview image has to be rendered for every page.

OCR timeout in seconds:Set the maximum time allowed to wait for the OCR result. The process is canceled when the timeout in seconds is exceeded.

Information: You should set a longer response time if you are processing larger documents.

Preview configuration for certain file types

Determine which preview mode the ELO Web Client uses for which file type.

Select a preview mode from the drop-down menu in the field to the right of a file type.

Information: The ELO Web Client supports the display of Microsoft Office documents via the Microsoft Office Web Apps. If the Microsoft Office Web Apps are installed, two additional options appear in the drop-down menu. To set it up, read the Settings via the ELO Application Server Manager section.

Add settings: Use the Add settings button to add additional entries to the list:
