When moving an entry (folder or document), if the permissions settings for the entry differ from the permission settings for the target folder, the Move entries dialog box appears. In this dialog box, you are provided with different options for handling the permissions settings.

Previous permissions

In the Previous permissions window, you will see the previous permission settings for the entry you want to move.

Permissions at the target

In the Permissions at the target window, you will see the permission settings for the target folder.

Choose from the following

The following options are available under Choose from the following:

Keep previous permissions unchanged: The moved entries retain the existing permission settings.

Replace with the permissions of the target folder: The moved entries inherit the permission settings of the target folder.

Save selection and do not show this dialog box again: In the ELO Web Client configuration (Configuration > Dialog boxes > Inherit permissions when moving entries), you can define the settings for moving entries and also disable the dialog box.

OK: Click OK to apply the selected settings.

Cancel: Click Cancel to cancel the action.
