Introduction to ELOxc
Application
ELOxc is a Windows service that enables you to transfer data from an Exchange Server to an ELO repository. ELOxc recognizes the Exchange servers as a source server. Mailboxes are the actual data sources. Individual mailbox folders are regarded as element containers. Individual Exchange messages are regarded as elements. ELOxc processes all data sources based on elements, which is called element processing.
ApplicationThe objective of element processing is to find element collections, identify elements to be archived and subsequently transfer them to the ELO repository according to general and flexible processing rules, so-called actions. The service usually has a central configuration, which runs processes in the background independently of the single workstation user.
