User manager
The User manager section is where you can manage users and groups. The permissions for users and groups are defined here.

1. Click the Add user icon.
Users, createAlternatively: Click Add group to create a new user group.
The New user dialog box appears.
Please note: Follow the naming conventions. User names containing only numbers such as "2347685" are not allowed.
2. Enter the user name to the Name input field.
3. Enter a password for the user. In the Properties area, enter "PW" to the Action input field.
Information: Entering "PW" to this field ensures the user will be requested to enter a new password when the user logs on to ELO.
4. Enter the necessary information (permissions, etc.) for the new user.
Information: The user who creates the new user is automatically entered in the Administrator field. Another user or group can be entered in this field later. The Administrator field determines who can edit the master data of each user.
User administratorUser, administratorOptional: Items 5 through 7 - Add the new user to different user groups. A new user is always a member of the Everyone group by default.
5. Click Group membership.
Group, addUser groupsThe Group membership area opens.
Information: Member of displays a list of the groups in which the user is a member.
6. Enter a space in the Add to group input field.
Information: If you always use the prefix "GRP_" when creating group names, enter "GRP_" to the input field.
A list of existing groups is shown in a drop-down menu.
7. Select an entry in the list.
The selected list entry is automatically entered in the Member of list.
Information: If you want to assign the user to additional groups, repeat steps 5 to 7.
8. Click Save.
The user is created and is now a member of the selected group.
The new user appears in the list of users.
Optional: To change a user's settings, select the user in the list on the left. The settings are shown in the right-hand program pane.
Deleting a user or a group
Groups and users can be deleted in the user manager.
User, delete1. Click the user or group to be deleted in the list on the left-hand side.
The user or group are highlighted.
2. Click Delete selected user (red cross icon).
The Delete dialog box appears.
3. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the user.
The user or group is deleted from the user manager.
Result
A new user is created and the necessary settings are applied. The user account is now available in the client applications.
