You can use ELO Mobile Devices to create three types of margin notes:

• General margin note (yellow): Viewable for every user
• Personal margin note (green): Only viewable for the creator of the margin note
• Permanent margin note (red): Non-deletable margin note visible to every user.

Information: This function is only available in the Repository work area.

Proceed as follows to assign a margin note to a folder:

1. Select an entry and open the context menu.

2. In the context menu, tap the Additional functions button.

The Additional functions drop-down menu opens.

3. In the drop-down menu, tap the Create margin note button.

The Create margin note dialog box appears. General margin note is set as the type by default.

Optional: Tap Personal margin note or Permanent margin note to change the type.

4. Enter your text for the margin note to the Contents field.

5. Tap OK to save the margin note.

The Create margin note dialog box closes. You can find the created margin note in the Margin notes detail area in the viewer pane.

Edit margin note

Proceed as follows to edit a general or a personal margin note:

1. Navigate to an entry with a margin note.

2. In the viewer pane, open the Margin notes detail area of the selected entry.

3. Tap the pen icon.

The Edit margin note dialog box appears.

You now have the following editing options:

• Type: Change the margin note type.
• Contents: Change the margin note text.

4. Edit the margin note.

5. To save the changes, tap the OK button.

ELO for Mobile Devices applies the changes.

Delete margin note

Proceed as follows to remove a general or a personal margin note:

1. Navigate to an entry with a margin note.

2. Open the Margin notes detail area of the selected entry.

3. Tap the pen icon.

The Edit margin note dialog box appears.

4. To delete the margin note, tap the Delete button.

The margin note is deleted.
