Knowledge Board
You can reach the Knowledge Board by clicking the Knowledge Board tile in the My ELO area.
Knowledge Board, interfaceOn the Knowledge Board, posts are shown in chronological order. The newest post is shown first. You can create new posts and refer to existing ones.
The Knowledge Board is divided into the following areas:
1 The breadcrumb navigation allows you to switch to an overarching space from within a space. The terms in blue are overarching spaces you can click. The space you are currently in is shown in gray.
2 To narrow down the data displayed, you can use the free text search in the header. You can search for posts, topics, and users.
Free text searchSearch3 Click the arrow icon for the drop-down menu to select what type of post you want to create. You can choose from the options Ask a question, Suggest an idea, and Write an article.
Post, create4 On the Knowledge Board, you will see an overview of available posts. You can also filter posts.

In the viewer pane, you can view all posts or sort posts by specific criteria.

1 The arrow icon refreshes the displayed list.
2 Clicking All, Questions, Ideas, and Articles filters the list by post type.

Post status, filterFilter, post status4 The list contains all posts you you have selected via search or filter.
5 Under Spaces, you will find all available spaces. To view all posts in a space, click the space.

Popular topics, filterFilter, popular topics7 Under Languages used, select the language you wish to see posts in. To show posts in a specific language, check the corresponding box. To hide posts in a specific language, uncheck the corresponding box.

In the viewer pane, you will see information on individual posts.
Posts, overviewPosts, interfaceA post overview is divided into the following areas:
1 The symbol in the speech bubble indicates the post type.
2 In this area, you will see the author, date of creation, the corresponding space, and the topics of the post. Clicking a space or topic lists all posts from this space or relevant to this topic. For ideas, the status is also shown – Suggested, Accepted, Implemented, or Rejected. Unread posts are marked with a blue dot next to the post title.
Idea, statusStatus, ideaFilter, topicsFilter, spaces3 Here you will see how many replies a post has. Once a reply has been marked the best reply, the section is marked in green. For ideas, the section is boxed in. The color of the box corresponds to the status of the idea. As replies are not possible for articles, none are shown.
Best replyReply, best4 Here, you will see the post's score. The result shown combines both upvotes and downvotes. With five upvotes and one downvote, a post has a score of 4.
VotingVotes5 Here, you can see how often a post has been viewed.
Question
We will look at the post type Question in our example. All post types have a similar structure.
Question, interfaceA question is divided into the following parts:
1 Here,, you will see the title or a brief description of the question.
2 The post type and topics are shown in this area. Clicking a post type or topic lists all posts of this post type or topic. If the question has been marked as solved, this is also shown.
Post types, filterFilter, post typesTopics, filterFilter, topics3 Here, you will see the author of the post and the date the question was posted. Click the author's name to go to their profile.
User profile4 Clicking Close post closes the post. Only the post author and moderators have the right to close a post. When a post is closed, it can no longer be edited and no opinions or comments can be added. At this point, only voting is possible. Clicking the button a second time opens the post back up.
Post, close5 Clicking the up arrow icon upvotes a post. Clicking the down arrow icon downvotes a post. Each user has one vote. You cannot vote on your own question.
Voting6 Clicking Add comment opens a text field in which you can enter a comment for the post.
Comment, add7 Click Edit to switch to editing mode for the post. In editing mode, the same functions are available as when creating a post. Only the post author and moderators have the right to edit a post.
Edit, postPost, edit8 Clicking Post reply brings you to the Your reply area. In the Your reply area, enter a reply to the question and publish it by clicking Post a reply.
Reply, post9 Under the question, you will see existing replies.
10 Under Participants, you will see the users participating in the discussion. Users who have posted comments are not listed.
Participants11 Posts with similar topics to the post are listed under Related posts.
Related posts12 Under Subscribe to post, you can subscribe to be notified of any updates. These updates are then shown in your My ELO feed. You are automatically subscribed to your own posts.

User profiles contain information on users and their activities on the Knowledge Board.
User profileA user profile is divided into the following parts:
1 Clicking Back returns to the Knowledge Board start screen.
2 Clicking the User profile button allows you to change the information in your user profile. This button only appears in your own user profile.
User profile, change3 Clicking Notifications enables e-mail notifications for the posts you subscribed to. This button only appears in your own user profile.
NotificationsE-mail notifications4 Here, you will see a user's badges. Badges are based on the user's own actions or the related actions of other users. By default, there are over twenty badges in bronze, silver, and gold.
Badges5 Here, you will see a user's reputation. A user's reputation is the result of their activities. A user's reputation increases or decreases based on own activities (e.g. answering a question) and the activities of other users (e.g. downvoting a reply).
