Configuration - 'Administration' category
The Administration category contains the following topics and settings:

Preview: Preview the selected date format in this field.
Synchronize date formats with the Java Client: If you enable this option, the ELO Web Client will automatically synchronize the date format with the ELO Java Client. If no specific date format has been configured in the ELO Java Client, the ELO Web Client will use the default date format (dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm). You can configure the date and time format in the Date format and Time fields.
Information: If the Synchronize date formats with the Java Client is enabled, changes in the ELO Web Client also apply to the ELO Java Client. Vice versa, any changes made to the ELO Java Client will also apply to the ELO Web Client.
Date format: Select a date format from the drop-down menu or configure your own custom date format. You can use the following abbreviations:
- y: Year
- M: Month
- w: Calendar week
- D: Day of the year
- d: Day of the month
- F: Numeric weekday
- E: Weekday
Time: Select a date format from the drop-down menu or configure your own custom time format. You can use the following abbreviations:
- H: Hour (0-23)
- h: Hour in AM/PM format
- a: AM/PM marker
- m: Minute
E-mail search
E-mail search form: Choose one or multiple keywording forms that will be searched when searching for e-mails.
E-mail search group 1: Enter a group name (index fields). All index fields that are connected with the selected group are searched. Example: Use the ELOOUTL1 group for the From field.
E-mail search group 2: If required, add a group name. Example: Use the ELOOUTL2 group for the To field.
Technical presets
Log level:Specify how much information should be written to the log.
Save view data locally: Specify whether you want to save view data locally.
Enable drag-and-drop operations: If you enable this option, you can drag and drop entries within the repository or to another work area.
Load ELO apps when called: If the Load ELO apps when called option is enabled, ELO apps that are integrated as a work area do not load until you open the work area.
Edit name of workflow when passing forward: This option enables you to change the name of the workflow when you are passing it forward.
Show keywording form name instead of keywording or form in the preview bar: If this option is enabled, the name of the keywording form is shown dynamically as a tab name in the preview bar.
Information: This setting does not affect the standard ELO keywording forms.
Folder for document templates: Designate a folder for document templates.
Work areas
Determine which work areas are available.

In this area of the configuration, you define the settings for automatically subscribing to a feed. By default, every user must define their own settings.
Choose from the following options:
- When filing a document
- When creating a new folder
- When checking in a new version
- When creating a post or comment
Index fields in the table columns
Show index fields in tables: Enable this option to show the contents of the selected index fields as additional columns in tables.
Index fields, show in tablesYou can select the following options from the drop-down menu on the left:
- All: All index fields can be selected.
- Priority fields only: You can only select priority fields.
Select the index fields that you want to show in tables from the drop-down menu on the right.
If you selected multiple index fields, you can change the sort order using the arrow buttons.
Information: You can select a maximum of 20 index fields.
Delete setting: Click the X icon to remove selected index fields.
