ELOxc consists of various assemblies. ELOix is accessed through the file EloixClientCS.dll, which is also included in the software package. The desktop program ELOxcTools.exe is also supplied as an administration tool. ELOxc Tools has additional functions to manage service registration, prepare or delete instances, evaluate service logs or carry out product updates. The software package also includes the Tomcat servlet xc-console.war, which must be registered in an Apache Tomcat in order to edit the ELOxc configuration via ELOix.

For an initial installation, select an installation directory and save all the files in the package to it. You then need to run ELOxcTools.exe to register ELOxc.exe as a Windows service. You can create a new instance either with ELOxc Tools or with the ELOxc Console.

Updates

You can also carry out product updates using ELOxc Tools. If you carry out a manual update, you must close all ELOxc programs and replace the entire installation directory, with the exception of the configuration file ELOxc.xml, with the new package files. Following this, you also need to replace the ELOxc Console version in the corresponding Tomcat with the version of the software package.
