Version ID

The version number format of ELOxc is composed of four numbers:

VersionsVersion ID, composition

Major.Minor.Revision.Build

Major is the two-digit main ELO version number and Minor is the two-digit current version of ELOxc. Every time a new product version is released, Minor is changed to the next higher value in relation to the previous version. The configuration version of a product version corresponds to these two versions.

Revision is used if there are any hotfixes. Build corresponds to an internal counter that does not follow a specific pattern. These last two numbers are not relevant for checking a compatible configuration version.

Since program versions of ELOxc always requires the appropriate configuration version, the configurations of all instances must be updated automatically immediately after the program files have been updated.
