Archive (CheckinDef)

The archiving action transfers collected element data (e.g. documents, keywording, filing paths) to ELO. It does not require much configuration.

Archive actionAction, archiveCheckinDef

The most important parameter in this action is that you need to mark the element as "archived" ("CheckinDef.Tag"). If you select the Tag check box, the element is marked as "archived" ("CheckinDef.Tag"). If an element is marked as archived, the element fields EloXcArchivedBase (timestamp) and EloXcArchivedExt (ELO GUID) are created and set permanently with that element, using the Commit action ("CommitDef") if necessary.

Click the Advanced button in the Options area to open the advanced configuration settings.

PathId: The path ID refers to the physical filing path as defined in ELOdm.

Category: The category can only be used for Microsoft Exchange. It assigns archived items to an Outlook category.

UseSplitFolder: A collective folder is normally used to keep all ELO documents created from a data source element at one repository location when file attachments are separated. This creates a parent SORD with the name of the data source element in addition to the filing path. All documents are filed to this SORD.

SordLinks: The "SordLinks" option concatenates all documents created for a data source element. In this case, you will still be able to easily find documents in the client that have been subsequently moved.

Preference: This enables you to specify whether to give preference to a previous export action or a previous field export action. You only need to set this if both actions had already been carried out at the time of archiving.

Keywording: Select the keywording target here.
