Connecting to the ELO repository
Before working with the client for the first time, you have to establish a connection to an ELO repository.

For new installations, no repository is available. To connect to a repository, you first have to create a profile. Profiles are managed in the configuration.
1. Click Create profile.
The Add new profile dialog box opens.
2. Enter the name of the repository in the Profile name field.
3. Enter the Indexserver URL. It must follow this syntax: http://<host_name>:<port_number>/ix-<repository_name>/ix
If an operational Indexserver is found with the correct URL, the message Repository available appears below the URL.
4. Click OK to create the profile.
Information: You will find your profile in the Repository management area under Configuration > Administration. The Configuration chapter explains how to manage your profiles.
Logon
Your profile is now available. Connect to the ELO repository via the Logon dialog box.
LogonLogonIn the Repository area, you will see the name of the connected ELO repository. A checkmark next to the repository name indicates that the repository is available.
Optional: You can select another repository profile from the drop-down menu provided one is available.
Optional: Enabling the Use logon data switch enables SSO (single sign-on) with the Windows user account. SSO has to be set up in Windows first.
5. Enter your ELO user name in the User field.
6. Enter your ELO password in the Password field.
Optional: To save the password, check the box next to Save password. The next time you start the client, it will automatically log on with this connection data. It is possible to save multiple credentials. The saved logon information does not apply for all repositories, but is saved separately for each repository. To see what passwords have been saved, go to Administration > Passwords in the configuration.
7. To connect to the ELO repository, click Connect.
A connection has been established with the ELO repository. The ELO Desktop Client tile navigation opens.
