Preview profiles

To define the settings for the viewer pane, you need to define a preview profile. The button for opening the Select and configure preview profiles menu is located directly below the ribbon on the right-hand side of the screen.

Add a preview profile

1. Click the Select and configure preview profiles button.

A drop-down menu appears.

2. Click New profile.

The client switches to the mode for creating a new preview profile.

In the viewer pane, you see the preview elements and four panes which you can assign preview elements to. The following elements are available:

3. Drag a preview element to any pane and release the mouse button.

The preview element is assigned to the pane.

Information: Try out the different viewing options. The size of the panes is adjusted automatically.

Optional: You can also assign multiple preview elements to a subpane. In this case, the individual preview elements are displayed as tabs. You can change the order of the tabs.

4. Enter the name of the profile in the Edit preview profile field.

Optional: Click the Additional window button to open the Preview dialog box. In this dialog box, you can see what the preview elements would look like. To do so, drag the desired preview element onto the Preview dialog box.

Please note: The settings you make in the Preview dialog box are not applied to the preview profile.

5. Click OK to save the preview profile.

The new preview profile is created.

Manage preview profiles

The Manage profiles function enables you to edit and delete existing preview profiles, and assign them to individual work areas. You can access the function via Select and configure preview profiles > Manage profiles.

The Manage preview profiles dialog box appears.

The settings for managing the existing preview profiles are in the top part of the dialog box.

New profile: This opens a dialog box for creating a new profile. Arrange the preview areas by dragging the rectangular preview modes (full text, form, content, feed, web application).

Edit: Open a selected preview profile for editing in the Preview profiles list.

Delete: Click Delete to remove the selected preview profile. The preview profile is initially marked red. The preview profile is deleted once you click OK, closing the dialog box. If you close the dialog box with the Cancel button, the delete action is reversed.

Map profiles to work areas

You can map a preview profile to a work area. Select a preview profile for each work area in the drop-down menus.

Map profiles to metadata forms

You can map a preview profile to a metadata form. Select a metadata form in the drop-down menu on the left and map it to a preview profile in the drop-down menu on the right.

New: Click the New button to add a new metadata form.

Delete: Click the Delete button (X icon) to remove the metadata form.
