Additional functions
This section provides information on the additional search functions in ELO.
Run recent search requests
ELO saves the ten most recent searches under Ribbon > Search > Recent search requests. Click the search request to run the search again.

Create search view
If you use the New view function (plus icon at the end of the search results list) in the Search work area, you create a temporary search view.
A search view is used to temporarily save search results and search settings. Search views appear in a bar on top of the navigation bar.
Information: Metadata searches are automatically saved as a temporary search view.
Please note: These search views are deleted when you close ELO. If you want to save a search request, use the Save search function (in the Search work area under Ribbon > Search > Search favorites).
Save search favorites
You can also save searches as favorites. To save a search as a favorite, go to the ribbon and click Search > Search favorites > Save search.
FavoritesSearch, favoriteYou will find your search favorites under Ribbon > Search > Search favorites. Tiles are automatically created for favorites. These tiles will appear in the Hidden tiles group of the tile navigation area in My ELO after you restart ELO.
Search current folder only
The Current folder only function lets you restrict the search to the most recently selected folder in the Repository work area.
Current folder onlySearch, current folderYou will find this function under Ribbon > Search > Search logic > Current folder only.
Please note: If the Current folder only option is enabled, the search can take a lot longer.
Search deleted entries
To search exclusively for deleted entries, enable the function Show deleted entries. You will find this function under Ribbon > Search > Search logic. If the Show deleted entries option is enabled (highlighted yellow), you will ONLY see deleted entries in the search results.

Click Areas searched to restrict the search to specific areas. The Areas searched button is located next to the Start search button and Refresh search.
Search, fields searchedFields searchedYou can choose from the following options:
Search, extra textSearch, feed- Full text: The Full text option restricts the search to the full text content.
- Metadata: The Metadata option allows you to enable or disable the following options at the same time: Short name, Fields, and Extra text.
- Short name: The Short name option restricts the search to the content of the short names.
- Fields: The Fields option restricts the search to the content of fields.
- Extra text: The Extra text option restricts the search to the content of the extra text.
- Feed: The Feed option restricts the search to the contents of the ELO feed. This includes version comments.
Enable or disable the various options by clicking the check boxes.
Dynamic folder
You have the option to save search requests as a dynamic folder. Dynamic folders are automatically updated when entries that correspond to the search criteria are filed to ELO.

You will find this function under Ribbon > Search > Result > Dynamic folder.
Remove from search results
The Remove from search results function allows you to remove selected matches (supports multiple selection) from the search results list. This only deletes entries within the current search. The entries remain in ELO. If you perform the same search again, then all matches will be displayed.
