In the Escalation management dialog box, you can set escalations for ad hoc workflows.

Deadline: Use the spin controls to select the time allowed in days, hours, and minutes before the workflow is escalated.

Exclude weekends: Select the option Exclude weekends if you want Saturdays and Sundays to be ignored in the countdown.

Report missed deadline to: Specify who to notify when the workflow deadline is exceeded.
