Information

For a web-based training or video to be able to be shown on your learning platform, you will have to insert the web-based training/the video in your course.

Information: Here, we show the method based on a web-based training. The method for a video is almost identical. The video is filed in the Video folder intended for this specific purpose.

Requirement

A course was created using the Learning > New course function.

A web-based training was created or purchased via an authoring tool.

Method

1. Select the course you want to upload a web-based training for. The file is created directly in the course folder and not in the Course materials folder. This folder is only intended for additional files to be made available to participants for download.

2. On the New tab, click Insert > Insert file.

3. In the Insert file dialog box, insert the web-based training.

Alternative: Drag the file and drop it on the course folder.

4. Select the Web-based training keywording form. This keywording form contains the Course tab. The fields on this tab are blank and do not have to be completed. The fields are automatically completed with metadata from the course on filing.

Result

The web-based training is filed to the course folder.

Outlook

As soon as you release the course, it can be completed on the platform.

Information: You can edit a course even if it is already active. Simply upload a new version of the course in the same way. Make sure that no participants are working on the course at this time, i.e have the status started. Otherwise, the progress of course participants will be lost.
