Stamps
Description: You can use stamps on documents in ELO just as you would on paper documents. In the Stamps area, you can create new stamps, or edit and delete existing stamps.
The stamps are available to users in the document viewer toolbar in the ELO Java Client and the ELO Windows Client.
StampsInformation: Stamps can be defined for individual users as well as for groups. Select users via the Stamp access rights drop-down menu.
Add a text stamp
Click Add a text stamp to the right of the list of stamps to create a new text stamp.
Create, text stampText stampStamp, text1. Click the Add a text stampbutton.
Alternatively: You can also create an image stamp with the Add a text stamp button. The settings are the same as for creating a text stamp.
The Add a text stamp area opens.
Please note: Use the Date and Time button to insert the current date or the current time in a new stamp. With this, the current date and the current time is placed on a document when the stamp is applied.
2. Enter the name of the new text stamp to the Name field.
Stamp, timeStamp, date3. Enter the text to the Text input field that will later appear as stamped text on the document.
Alternatively: For an image stamp, choose an image file that contains the image that should be affixed to the document.
4. Add wild cards as needed for the Date, Time, or User.
Example: The stamp text Locked from May 9, 2016 - 4:14 p.m.
should appear on the document.
The following text must be entered to the Text field:
Locked from %x - %X
The buttons Date and Time are used to enter wild cards:
Date: %x
Time: %X
User: %u
Optional: The font of a stamp can be changed by clicking the font and font size buttons.
A preview of the stamp is displayed in the lower area of the dialog box.
5. Once you have made all setttings, click Save.
StampsThe new stamp is shown in the overview of available stamps on the left-hand side.
The Stamps defined in the ELO Administration Console are available to the user in the ELO Java Client.
