Contact, createContract, create

Requirements

You have the right to create contracts.

Step:

1. Click the Create contract button on the Contracts tab.

Alternative: In the My ELO work area, click the Create contract tile.

The Create contract dialog box appears.

2. Select a contract type.

The dialog box for creating a contract appears.

You will find the input fields to create a contract on four tabs. The mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk. Combined mandatory fields are marked with a blue asterisk. One of the two fields must be completed.

Depending on the contract type, master data may already be filled out. You will recognize such data based on the gray background. You can change the entries in the Relation, Risk classification, and Status index fields using the drop-down menus.

3. Enter a name for the contract in the Name field (mandatory).

Information: The Contract number field is filled out automatically. The contract number is generated when the contract is filed.

4. Fill out the other fields on the Data and Duration tabs accordingly.

The index fields with a pencil icon contain keyword lists. When you type a value to the respective index field, matching list entries appear.

5. On the Contract partner tab, complete the Company name field and/or Last name field. If this is a new contact you want to create, enable the Create new contacts option.

6. Fill out the other fields on the Contract partner and Cash flow tabs accordingly.

7. Click Create.

Result

A new contract is created with child folders. A new contact is added to the contact list. The new contact data is now available via a keyword list when creating new contracts.

Information: File documents related to a contract with the Contract document keywording form. This is the only way to inherit information relevant for searches.
