Sending filed data by e-mail
Objective
The seamless integration of Microsoft Outlook and ELO allows you to send filed e-mails and other data directly from the ELO repository. An e-mail function is available in the viewer bar for filed e-mails.
Sending a filed e-mail
1. Select the desired e-mail message in the repository.
E-mail, send2. Choose one of the three options by double-clicking in the viewer bar above the e-mail preview:
- Reply
- Reply all
- Forward
The default Outlook form for sending e-mail messages appears.
3. Enter the recipient, subject, and message.
4. Click Send.
Result
The filed e-mail is sent.
Alternatively: Selected the e-mail you want to send in the repository and go to the ELO Document tab on the ribbon, then select the Send document button in the Send group. The Outlook form for sending e-mail messages appears.
Sending filed documents
1. Select the desired file in the repository.
File, sending2. Click Send document in the Send group on the ELO Document tab.
A default Outlook e-mail for sending e-mails opens. The file is already entered as an attachment.
3. Enter the recipient, subject, and message.
4. Click Send.
Result
The file in the repository is sent.
Send as ELO link
This function creates a link to a file in an ELO repository and sends this link as an e-mail attachment. To open the link, the e-mail recipient will need access to the same ELO repository.
If a user receives this link as an e-mail attachment, double-clicking the link opens the user's ELO client right in the repository folder of the filed document.
