Edit tile navigation

Users can customize tiles and groups in the tile navigation based on their individual requirements.

Tile navigation

Information: Different settings are available depending on the type of tile you want to edit.

Tile settings

To edit a tile, you usually need to switch to the Tile settings. Proceed as follows:

1. Right-click the tile to open the context menu.

2. Click Settings.

This opens the Tile settings pane. You are now in tile editing mode.

Information: Clicking another tile when you are in editing mode for a particular tile opens the tile settings for the tile you clicked.

Change color

You can change the color of all tiles.

The following example shows how this is done with a view filter tile.

1. Open the Tile settings pane as described above.

2. Select the desired color in the Color options.

The color of the tile changes.

3. Click the arrow pointing left to close the Tile settings.

Alternatively: Click the respective tile to end editing mode.

Change icon

You can change the icon that is used for the tile in the majority of cases.

The following example shows how this is done with a view filter tile.

1. Open the Tile settings pane as described above.

2. Select the desired icon in the Icon options.

The icon used for the tile changes.

3. Click the arrow pointing left to close the Tile settings.

Alternatively: Click the respective tile to end editing mode.

Change size

You can change the size of all tiles.

The following example shows how this is done with a view filter tile.

1. Open the Tile settings pane as described above.

2. Select one of two Size options:

  • Large: The tile is square.
  • Small: The smaller tile is rectangular and half the size of the large tile.

The size of the tile changes.

3. Click the arrow pointing left to close the Tile settings.

Alternatively: Click the respective tile to end editing mode.

In the Options area, define further settings for tiles.

The following example shows how this is done with a view filter tile.

1. Open the Tile settings pane as described above.

2. Enable the desired options:

  • Pinned to the navigation bar: Enable the Pinned to the navigation bar option to show the tile on the navigation bar.
  • Show number of entries: When the Show number of entries option is enabled, the tile shows the number of direct child entries in the respective repository work area.

3. Click the arrow pointing left to close the Tile settings.

Alternatively: Click the respective tile to end editing mode.

Editing via the context menu

Each tile has a context menu that is opened by right-clicking the tile. Right-click the tile to open a context menu.

You can make the following tile settings straight from the tile's context menu.

  • Pin to the navigation bar or Unpin from the navigation bar
  • Change size
  • Hide

Information: Hidden tiles are moved to the Hidden tiles group. To restore the tile, drag it to the target location in the tile navigation.

Edit groups

The tiles in the tile navigation are split into groups. You can add, rename, and delete groups.

Add group

To add a group to the tile navigation, proceed as follows:

1. Right-click the group name to open the context menu.

2. Click Add group.

The Add group dialog box appears.

3. Enter a name to the Name field.

4. Click Save.

The group is added. Groups can be moved in the tile navigation using the drag-and-drop action.

To move a tile to the group, drag it to the group.

Rename group

To rename a group in the tile navigation, proceed as follows:

1. Right-click the group name you want to change to open the context menu.

2. Click Rename group.

The Rename group dialog box appears.

3. Change the name of the group in the Name field.

4. Click Save.

The group is renamed.

Delete group

To delete a group in the tile navigation, proceed as follows:

1. Right-click the name of the group you want to delete to open the context menu.

2. Click Delete group.

The Delete group dialog box appears.

3. Confirm deletion by clicking Yes.

The group is deleted. The tiles in this group are moved to the Hidden tiles group.
