Repository work area
General
The Repository work area is the central work area of the client where you file and manage your documents and data. For example, you can create new documents and folders, open documents for viewing, or send documents in different formats.
Work area, RepositoryIt may be helpful to create a view filter if there are very many documents in your repository. A view filter shows a section of the overall repository. This view filter is shown as an additional button below the button of the Repository work area.
To create a new view filter, select a folder in the repository. Click the View tab and then New view filter. The New repository view filter dialog box appears. The name of the selected element is entered by default. If needed, change the name of the view filter. Click OK.
Please note: The documents in the Repository work area are only opened for previewing. To edit a document, use the Check out and edit function on the ribbon (Start tab > Edit group) or in the Repository context menu.
