Create folders
Before you can file documents, you will need folders in the Repository work area.
The following options are available for creating folders:

- Dynamic folder function

Steps
Folders, create1. Select the folder where you want to create the child folder.
A new folder is always created within the folder you have currently selected. The top level of your repository is also a folder.
2. On the ribbon, click New > New folder.
3. Enter metadata for the folder.

Like physical folders, you can add contents to folders: You can create additional child folders or file documents directly to them.
'Dynamic folder' function
Dynamic folders are folders whose contents change automatically. The contents of a dynamic folder are based on the results of a search. References to the search results are filed to dynamic folders.

1. Perform a search.

2. On the ribbon, click Results > Dynamic folder.
3. Select a target folder for your dynamic folder.
4. Enter metadata for the dynamic folder.

The dynamic folder is created at the selected filing location. The current results of the search are immediately created as a reference.
The references automatically appear in or disappear from the dynamic folder when the search returns other results.
