Logon

1. Click the Outlook icon on the desktop or taskbar.

Quick launch

The Outlook interface will appear. If Microsoft Outlook successfully recognizes the client as an add-in, you will see two indications of this: A folder with the name ELO is created in the mail and account management (1). The button for connecting to the ELO repository now appears below the mail and account management (2).

Interface, before ELO logon

Please note: After restarting, it is possible that the client and ELO tabs may not appear, or that the add-in has been disabled due to an error. In both cases, you have to load the client manually. Go to Outlook options > Add-Ins > Manage COM Add-Ins and enable the ELO Client for Microsoft Outlook check box. Once you confirm your selection with OK, the client loads. You may have to enable the add-in after each restart, because it is not loaded automatically. In this case, run the Repair function in the setup.

1. Click the ELO repositorybutton above the Outlook navigation bar.

Entering a repository

If no repository has been entered, call up the Repository management panel. If a repository is already available, continue with step 7.

3. To do so, click the Repository management button, and in this dialog box, click Add.

Indexserver, add

The Add new repository dialog box appears.

4. Enter the repository name and the Indexserver URL.

When the fields have been filled in correctly, the dialog box uses green text to indicate that the Indexserver is available. At the same time, the OK button becomes active. If your entry is incorrect, the dialog box reports Repository unavailable. In this case, correct the repository name and the Indexserver URL.

5. Click OK to confirm your entry.

The Repository management dialog box opens. The new repository is entered.

6. Close the dialog box by clicking Close.

The repository is displayed in the logon dialog box. It is still labeled disconnected.

9. Now enter the ELO user name and password to the corresponding fields in the Logon area.

If you select the Save password check box, the client automatically logs on using the connection data (logon and repository) from the last logon session.

Password, save

It is possible to save multiple credentials. The saved logon information does not apply for all repositories, but is saved separately for each repository.

To see whether passwords have been saved for your repositories, click Passwords in the Repository management dialog box.

You can remove stored logon data here.

Please note: If a user changes the Windows password in the computer settings instead of via the logon screen or the domain, saved passwords are lost.

Alternative: Choose the Log on with the Windows user option if you have set up access via single sign-on (SSO). This logs you onto the repository automatically.

10. Click the Connect button to establish a connection to the repository.
