You can transfer a file from your device to the ELO repository.

To load a file to the repository, you can choose between two options:

• With the ELO for Mobile Devices app
• From an external app

Requirements

You need an external application to add files. The application, such as a file manager or a gallery app, must support file sharing.

Add file with ELO for Mobile Devices

1. Open the context menu for the folder you want to add a file to.

2. In the context menu, tap the Additional functions button.

The Additional functions drop-down menu opens.

3. In the drop-down menu, tap Add file.

The Add file dialog box appears.

4. Tap the document icon at the top right.

The Select file dialog box appears.

5. Select one of the following options:

• From file system: Opens the Select file: Detected file systems dialog box. Navigate through the folder structure on your device to select a file.
• With another app: Opens an external app you can use to upload files to the repository.
• Take a photo: Opens the camera app on your device to take a picture, which can be uploaded to the repository.

6. Select a file or take a picture.

The short name of the file is displayed in the Add file dialog box.

Optional: Tap the Short name field to change the short name.

7. Tap SELECT KEYWORDING FORM to change the keywording form.

The Select keywording form dialog box appears.

8. Tap the desired keywording form in the list.

The keywording form is applied. The Select keywording form dialog box closes.

Information: You cannot add new keywording forms in ELO for Mobile Devices.

9. Tap OK to upload the file to the repository.

Result

The Add file dialog box closes. You are automatically directed to the filing location of the new file in the repository.

Optional: In the configuration, you can specify whether you want a keywording form dialog box to appear when filing. You can find more information in the section Configuration.

Add file with external app

You can also upload files to the ELO repository from external apps.

1. To upload a file from an external app to the ELO repository, use the Share function in the respective app.

A dialog box for transferring files to the ELO repository appears.

2. Select the option Add file.

The Add file dialog box appears. The file name is entered to the Short name field.

Optional: Tap the Short name field to change the short name.

3. To set the filing location for the file in the repository, tap SELECT TARGET FOLDER.

The Select target folder: dialog box appears.

4. Navigate to the folder you want to upload the file to.

The HISTORY tab contains the target folders you have previously selected.

5. Confirm your selection with OK.

Your selection is applied. The Select target folder: dialog box closes.

6. To set a keywording form for the file, tap SELECT KEYWORDING FORM.

The Select keywording form dialog box appears.

7. Tap the desired keywording form in the list.

The keywording form is applied. The Select keywording form dialog box closes.

Information: You cannot add new keywording forms in ELO for Mobile Devices.

8. Tap OK to add the file.

Result

The Add file dialog box closes. The file has been added. You return to the external application.

Optional: In the configuration, you can specify whether you want a keywording form dialog box to appear when filing. You can find more information in the section Configuration.
