Link entry

You can link entries (folders or documents) that are related. In this way, you can reach an entry from another entry using the link.

If a link is available, select the entry and go to the linked entry by clicking Go to.

The following option is available for linking entries:

Steps: Linking two entries or one entry with multiple entries

1. Select an entry you want to link with another entry. The order in which you select the entries is irrelevant. Both entries are linked.

2. On the ribbon, click View > Navigation > Link.

3. Click the other entry.

4. Click Add as link.

The entry you selected in step 4 appears in the list of links.

You can repeat this process with additional entries. This allows you to link one entry with multiple entries.

You will recognize documents with links based on the chain icon that now appears. Clicking this button takes you to the overview of links for the entry.

Outlook

You can make links permanent or delete them.

Open the overview of links for an entry by clicking the chain button. Select the link you want to edit and click Permanent link or Remove.

If you have created multiple links for the entry, you can also link these links.

Steps: Linking multiple entries

Mesh links, function

1. Select the entry whose links you want to link.

2. Click the chain icon, or View > Navigation > Link on the ribbon.

3. To mark the documents you want to link, press the CTRL key and click all documents you want to select. If you want to select all documents or all documents you want to select are related, press the SHIFT key then click the top-most and bottom-most documents you want to select.

4. Click Mesh links.

All the entries are linked and can be reached via Chain icon > Go to.
